1. Paint walls and woodwork
To make an instant impact to the look and feel of your room consider painting the walls, a few tins of paint can work wonders to transform the look and feel of a room. You can refresh all the walls, ceilings and woodwork or focus on a single feature wall in a bold or bright colour.

2. Design a bespoke rug
We've seen a huge demand for our bespoke rug service in recent months as customers look to soften areas of hard flooring or search for a quick and impactful way to make a change to a room.
Rugs are perfect for all areas of the home and can help to pull the room together, furniture placed on a bare floor can look unanchored without the unifying influence of a large area rug.
They also help to add texture and interest to a room, use bolder colours or textures to add interest into a neutrally decorated room in a way that is not permanent and can be easily changed. Use different colour bindings on the perimeter of the rug to pick out accent colours in cushions, curtains or other decorative items in the room.
Remember rugs can be used on hard floors and carpets. Use a sisal rug to add an extra dimension to a room that has been carpeted with wool or vice versa.
3. Use laminate to quickly refresh your hard flooring
Often an overlooked product, quality laminate ranges have come on leaps and bounds in recent years beyond what is often found in the chain DIY stores.

It doesn't need the extensive and costly floor preparations required for LVT floors such as Amtico or Karndean so can be purchased and installed for a fraction of the price of real wood or LVT - perfect for a cost effective new year refresh!
